Northfield Manor Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Staff: Our recruitment and selection processes are rigorous and comply with the County Councils guidance. All Staff are cleared by the DBS with volunteers cleared as applicable. All staff receive training and are aware of safeguarding and child protection issues and responsibilities.
Children: We listen to our children and take seriously what they tell us. On rare occasions concern about a child may mean that we have to consult other agencies before we contact you. Children feel they are in a safe place and that their concerns will be listened to. We closely monitor attendance and behaviour (which may link to abuse/neglect/hidden disability/undiagnosed medi cal conditions).
Security: The school site is protected by security fencing and there are procedures and policies in place in the event of a breach in security. The school has a signing in system for all visitors and all external doors are controlled by an electronic/Mechanical access system. Contractors on site are monitored. We hold termly Fire Drills.
